Russian officials arrested American WNBA superstar Brittney Griner at a Moscow airport in February on charges of cannabis possession.

Since then, authorities have been extending Griner's detention four times. And there has been mounting pressure from the US gov to bring her home. In particular, during worries that Russia has used Griner as a political pawn.
